Our tournament team fighters have done us proud again! Great effort from every one of them at the GTI British Open on 4th November.

Amelia and Connor were competing as Black Belts for the first time, and both got stuck in and worked really hard. Callum moved up to fight bigger lads in a very tough division, but rose to the challenge with his usual style. And, despite not competing for a little while, Harry pushed himself and gave a really good performance.

Well done, team!

  • Callum Edwards - 2 x gold in patterns & sparring
  • Amelia Fowler - silver in sparring
  • Harry Fowler - bronze in sparring
  • Stef Davies - gold in patterns, silver in sparring.

The LTSI Taekwondo Pure tournament was held on Sunday 24th June in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. Two of our fighters travelled down to this black-belt-only tournament to test themselves against some of the best competitors from the UK and Ireland.

13-year-old Callum Edwards was in a tough group for patterns, with a large number of competitors and a high standard overall; but he gave a solid performance and did very well to achieve 3rd place. In his sparring division, he faced some very skilled young fighters; but Callum rose to the challenge and gave an incredible performance in the final to deservedly take the Taekwondo Pure title.

Stef Davies also achieved Taekwondo Pure titles in both the ladies 3rd degree patterns and veteran ladies sparring events.

Well done to our two champions, and many thanks to the organisers at LTSI for an running an excellent competition.
